HBO Max’s new TV and movie release schedule for August 11 to August 17, 2025, includes Marooned with Ed Stafford Season 3 (Discovery), A Body in the Basement Season 2, The Woman King, and The Legend of Ochi.
On August 11, Marooned with Ed Stafford Season 3 (Discovery) drops on HBO Max. The documentary series follows Ed Stafford travelling to remote destinations across the world for ten days. He sees if he can survive in solitude without food and tools, facing every challenge coming his way.
Further, A Body in the Basement Season 2 will be available on the streaming platform. It unfolds spine-chilling true crime stories of brutal murders. The documentary explores the cases where dead bodies are found in a basement.
Also coming to HBO Max is the action-adventure, The Woman King. It focuses on General Nanisca, who turns the dynamics in the Oyo Empire upside down by helping the enslaved women. However, she is ready to face the battle along with her own female army.
Additionally, The Legend of Ochi will be released on the streaming platform. The family fantasy follows a young girl who is asked to never go outside after dark due to the fear of creatures called ochi. Things take an interesting turn when she meets a baby ochi and decides to reunite it with its family.
