Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has addressed a recent rumor about Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson making their Marvel Cinematic Universe return.
At the premiere of The Marvels, Feige did a short interview with Entertainment Tonight. During this talk, the president was asked about a recent report that Marvel Studios was considering making a movie led by the original Avengers — including Downey Jr. and Johansson, whose fallen characters would have come back to life.
Feige stated that he hadn’t heard the rumors of the two acclaimed actors and their characters making an MCU return, but that Marvel is doing a project that Johansson is producing.
“Fallen Avengers returning, is that new? I have literally not even seen that, is that a new rumor,” Feige asked. “We did not discuss that at the retreat, is the truth. We’re doing a project with Scarlett. I love Robert, who is part of the family. In terms of returning, we’ll have to see.”
