The Anniversary Edition is set to include all 10 years’ worth of content for the game, including some brand new features like a free fishing mechanic. The Anniversary Edition will launch on the Xbox Series X|S consoles as well as the PlayStation 5, which is good news to players who may have been worried that any and all of Bethesdas releases would be strictly held to Xbox consoles.

Owners of the Skyrim Special Edition will also be able to upgrade to the Anniversary Edition for free. The news comes as part of QuakeCon 2021, which also saw its own surprises in the form of a Quake remaster release, along with a handful of other Quake titles making their way to Xbox Game Pass for PC earlier today.

For Bethesda, fans are still awaiting any news on their highly anticipated role-playing game Starfield, which was briefly shown off during this year’s E3 and is tentatively slated to arrive in November 2022. Of course, news on the next entry in The Elder Scrolls series is also something fans are waiting on, although that looks to be much further off.
