Universal Orlando Resort has revealed additional details about the blaster game attraction Villain-Con Minion Blast.
What is Villain-Con Minion Blast?
The new attraction “will invite guests of all ages to step into the beloved world of the Minions franchise like never before as they blast their way to supervillain stardom, savor flavorful fare courtesy of the Minions, meet some of their favorite characters and so much more,” according to the official description.
Located at the entrance to Minion Land, Villain-Con Minion Blast transports visitors to the titular Villain-Con — a convention for supervillains seen in Minions. There, players compete to see who will get to join villain group The Vicious 6 using an E-Liminator X blaster.
Players will earn points by causing mayhem and destruction by using Freeze Rays, Banana Bombs, and Explosive Nunchucks, then will get to meet the Vicious 6 themselves — Belle Bottom (voiced by Taraji P. Henson), Stronghold (voiced by Danny Trejo), Nun-Chuck (voiced by Lucy Lawless), Jean Clawed (voiced by Jean-Claude Van Damme), and Svengeance (voiced by Dolph Lundgren).
Villain-Con Minion Blast is also the first attraction that offers a “connected gameplay experience” by letting you sync your blaster with The Official Universal Orlando Resort App to do special missions and unlock perks and digital collectibles. The attraction will open at Universal Orlando Resort this summer.
