Mortal Kombat released yesterday on HBO Max and in theaters. While fans have largely been positive about the action flick, there has been an outcry about the absence of series mainstay Johnny Cage. This has led to a lot of fan casting speculation in a potential sequel and one “Awesome” professional wrestler has already offered his services.

Former WWE Champion and current Miz and Mrs. star The Miz tagged Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon in a tweet and made his stance clear. “No Johnny Cage? I AM the special effects,” said the current WWE RAW star. “Let me do the casting for you. Say cheese.” He then attached a mock-up of him as Cage, whose personality in the video game series is very similar to the “A-Lister” wrestler.

The Miz, whose full name is Mike Mizanin, is no stranger to acting. He’s starred in four films in The Marine series for WWE Studios since 2013. He’s also made cameos in 2020’s The Main Event, Fighting with My Family and Queens of the Ring. Before his decorated career as a professional wrestler, The Miz became a reality television star on MTV’s The Real World: Back to New York, The Challenge and WWE Tough Enough. Most recently, he’s starred in his own reality show on the USA Network with his wife and hosted the game show Cannonball while still wrestling.
