The Professional Fighters League is looking to start and end the month of August with a bang, as the PFL Playoffs have officially begun. The first event of the PFL’s postseason, featuring semi-final bouts at featherweight and light heavyweight, takes place at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas, and will air on August 4.
PFL 7 will air on ESPN+ in the U.S. and DAZN in the U.K.
In the main event, Bubba Jenkins faces Jesus Pinedo in featherweight action.
Jenkins, who told The Sporting News this is his “Correction Tour,” is 2-0 this season. The former Bellator fighter beat Chris Wade in a rematch from 2021 and submitted Sung Bin Jo. He was ready to face Brendan Loughnane, who beat him in the finals last year, but Pinedo defeated Louhnane in a contender for Upset of the Year.
Jenkins feels this is his time to shine.

“I’m very excited, I can’t be more excited, and I’m the main event,” Jenkins told MMA Junkie. “So, when it comes to me feeling like PFL finally got it right or giving the people what they want, it’s this. It’s ‘Bad Man Things’ in the main event, in Texas. All things are big in Texas, they do it big there. So, I couldn’t be more excited, more pumped for the position, the platform, and the stage.”
Other featherweight action will see Wade, who replaced an injured Movlid Khaybulaev, facing Gabriel Braga.
In the co-main event, Josh Silveira faces Ty Flores in light heavyweight action. Within the same division, Marthin Hamlet faces Impa Kasanganay.
The Sporting News will provide results from the full PFL 7 fight card. Stay tuned!
