A.J. Dillon injury update: Packers get good news after RB leaves ‘MNF’ game vs. Rams with possible concussion

By | December 20, 2022

A.J. Dillon wasn’t putting up huge yards Monday against the Rams, but he was putting up tough ones. The running back had 11 carries for 36 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter of what was looking like a solid game for the Packers.

In the third quarter, however, Dillon was knocked out of the game when he was shaken up on a hit from Jalen Ramsey and Bobby Wagner, giving Aaron Jones an opportunity step back in for Green Bay.

The Packers later confirmed Dillon was being evaluated for a concussion.

Dillon did not return to the game, but there was good news Tuesday regarding his status moving forward.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur told reporters Dillon cleared concussion protocol Monday night and again Tuesday. That bodes well for Dillon’s availability for Green Bay’s Christmas Day game against the Dolphins.

The third-year back has rushed 154 times for 660 yards and five TDs this season in addition to 26 receptions for 194 yards.
