A jacked Geno Smith makes call to action in cryptic social media post

The Seattle Seahawks have far superior athletes on their roster and more acclaimed players at this level. However, their locker room leader right now is a veteran quarterback who had been written off as nothing but a career backup and didn’t make a Pro Bowl team until he was over 30. For those who have actually watched the games, they know Geno Smith is now arguably the game’s most-accurate passer and one of the fiercest competitors.

Smith and the rest of Seattle’s veterans will report to training camp one week from today. In the meantime, Geno is keeping busy in the lab and posting cryptic messages on social media. Here’s one of his latest from Twitter, in which he’s sporting a beautiful throwback Seahawks helmet and looking leaner and more jacked than ever.

Looks good on him.

The best thing about Smith’s game is that he literally appears to have another gear compared to other players. For example, Smith led the league in game-winning drives (5) last season, consistently raising his performance to another level in the fourth quarter. If you need more proof, just check out this post that he has pinned to his Twitter page. It shows the fastest times on the team for the first week of the offseason. Geno is right at the top of the list.

On no planet is Geno Smith actually the fastest player on the Seahawks roster, this is just more evidence that he simply wants it more than the other guy.

The hope is that new head coach Mike Macdonald and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb can get the supporting cast around Smith burning hot enough to make a deep playoff run, of which this team is fully capable with him leading the charge.
