Antonio Brown suggests NFL is using video of him exposing himself to distract from latest concussion controversy

Antonio Brown on Saturday issued a strong response, seemingly aimed at the NFL, to a report by the New York Post that the former All-Pro receiver exposed himself to a woman at a hotel pool in Dubai earlier this year.

The Post came into possession of a video — which The Sporting News will not link to — in which Brown appeared to place his exposed buttocks next to a woman’s face twice in the pool. She appears to laugh at those antics, but she took offense to Brown exposing his penis to her.

The Post reports that Brown generated several complaints from guests at Armani Hotel Dubai and was asked to leave the premises by hotel staff. The free-agent receiver responded to the news on Twitter, suggesting the video was released at the same time the league is in the midst of a controversy regarding its concussion protocol.

Brown intimated the video is meant to make him a scapegoat and deflect attention away from concussions. That follows the Dolphins’ decision to allow quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to keep playing after he appeared to suffer a concussion in Week 3 vs. the Bills. Four days later, he suffered a severe-looking concussion on “Thursday Night Football” vs. the Bengals and was placed in the league’s protocol.

Brown appears to connect the concussion protocol controversy to the widespread theory that he suffers from mental health issues as a result of concussions he suffered while playing in the league — something he has denied.

The last time Brown saw the field in the NFL was in January, when he took off his jersey, shoulder pads and undershirt before leaving mid-game vs. the Jets. He was released by the Buccaneers shortly thereafter and hasn’t played in the league since.
