Arsenal are desperately trying to get a few attacking reinforcements in this summer transfer window. They believe that they need players who can consistently step up and score goals.
While they have been linked with multiple forwards and wingers, there’s a new name in the mix. As per reports via Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have shown interest in landing Brentford‘s Bryan Mbeumo this summer.
The Gunners have been interested in Mbeumo for quite some time now. They were linked with the Brentford forward last season, but looking at his current situation, the North Londoners have reignited their interest in the 25-year-old.
The Cameroon international has been exceptional for Thomas Frank’s Bees. He notched up 20 goals and seven assists in 38 Premier League appearances this season. His consistency and prolific nature in front of the goal have forced Arsenal to reconsider.
However, Arsenal will need to fend off stiff competition from Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Manchester United.
It is more or less clear that Brentford have given up hopes of keeping Mbeumo beyond this summer, as his current contract ends next season and this is their only opportunity to cash in on him.

How much may Brentford demand for Mbeumo?
Mbeumo has seen the highs and the lows with Brentford since joining the club from Troyes in 2019. The forward has featured in the Championship and has helped the Bees gain promotion to the Premier League.

For the last four seasons in the Premier League, Mbuemo has been consistently scoring goals. However, his numbers saw a massive upward curve in the recently concluded season, and therefore, clubs are circling around him to secure his signature.
As per reports via Ben Jacobs of Give Me Sport, Brentford may value the 25-year-old for around ยฃ50 million. With multiple clubs involved in the race, the value is only expected to soar higher.
Predominantly a right winger, Mbuemo can also play down the middle, and therefore Arsenal are keeping close tabs. The 25-year-old is physical, has pace to burn and can slot goals for fun.
