The SEC was the dominant conference in college basketball this year, so it’s only fitting its two best teams will meet in the Final Four.
No. 1 Auburn faces No. 1 Florida at 6:09 p.m. ET on Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas with a trip to the national championship game on the line.
Auburn won the SEC regular-season championship this year before being upset by Tennessee in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament. The Tigers were still named the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and have played like it so far, breezing through Alabama State and Creighton in the first two rounds and then holding off Michigan and Michigan State in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight, respectively. Auburn is in the Final Four for the first time in five years.
