Big East women’s basketball tournament bracket: Full TV schedule, scores, results for 2023 conference tourney

By | March 5, 2023

UConn has dominated the Big East for decades.

Even with star players like junior forward Paige Bueckers and sophomore guard Azzi Fudd, and the hyped-up addition of freshman forward Isuneh ‘Ice’ Brady, sidelined due to injuries, they’ve been able to top the charts and become outright Big East’s regular-season champions for the third time in a row.

Huskies junior guard Nika Mühl also earned herself the record-holder name tag for single-season assists, sitting at 236 after adding seven in Monday’s 60-51 win over Xavier.

The Huskies aren’t entering the Big East Tournament in Uncasville, Conn., as the only team to beat. Villanova and Creighton will also be in the hunt, with Creighton’s head coach Jim Flannery coming in hot off his 400th career win. The Bluejays made it to the Elite Eight in the 2022 NCAA Tournament before being unseated by South Carolina 80-50.
