The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have done a very solid job in NFL free agency this month. They managed to keep wide receiver Chris Godwin and veteran linebacker Lavonte David on new contracts, and they also brought in pass rusher Haason Reddick.
Although they won the NFC South for a fourth straight season in 2024, their defense could use some improvement. They ended the season 16th in points allowed and 18th in total yards allowed, and their secondary has been a bit porous.
On Tuesday, they retained a key player in that secondary when cornerback Bryce Hall agreed to a one-year deal to remain in Tampa Bay.
#Bucs are signing CB Bryce Hall to a 1 year deal. Hall was injured in the season opener against Washington last year after signing with the Bucs as a free agent. Solid veteran now the No. 3 CB again for the Bucs.

Hall may not be a bona fide star, but the team hoped he would contribute when it originally signed him as a free agent a year ago.
He spent his first four seasons with the New York Jets, and in 2021, he showed plenty of promise with 16 passes defended, four tackles for loss, two quarterback hits and 79 total tackles (66 solo).
But he has been plagued by injuries since then, including the dislocated ankle and fractured fibula he suffered in Week 1 of 2024 that instantly ended his season. The hope is that he will be healthy and stay healthy for 2025.
