C.J. Stroud shares high praise for Texans’ loaded offensive skill group

Hard work and talent are the biggest prerequisites for finding success in the NFL. However, there’s no way getting around that the team a player gets drafted by also has an enormous impact on how their career goes at this level. Some prospects get dropped onto a franchise that hasn’t won a playoff game in decades and can’t seem to build a winner no matter what they try.

Second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud doesn’t have that problem and he couldn’t have asked for a better situation than he has right now with the Houston Texans. While he may not have a very good offensive line protecting him, you can argue that no other quarterback around the league has been given a better group of skill players.

Here’s Stroud singing the praises of his teammates after yesterday’s training camp practice.

That five-headed monster consists of the NFL’s best trio of receivers in Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins and Tank Dell. The Texans also have a strong pass-catching tight end in Dalton Schultz and an awesome receiving running back in Joe Mixon.

So long as offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik can scheme around the pass protection issues and Stroud keeps his head on a swivel, this passing offense should be among the league’s best in 2024.
