Former New York Yankees ace CC Sabathia didn’t hold back in his reaction to the retirement of MLB umpire Angel Hernandez.
In a somewhat shocking announcement Monday, Hernandez decided to call it quits in the middle of the MLB season after 30 years as an umpire.
The MLB’s most controversial umpire has had many moments throughout his career, and Sabathia has likely been involved in a few of them.

Sabathia has always been known as a gentle giant, but he also has never been afraid to speak his mind. It’s what made him so endearing to the Yankees organization and the fanbase as one of the team’s best leaders in recent memory.
Suffice it to say, there’s no love lost from Sabathia’s side when it comes to Hernandez as an umpire.
