Celtics vs. Thunder live updates, score: Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown take on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey

By | November 14, 2022

The Celtics and Thunder may not seem like a marquee matchup on the surface, but this will be a showdown between two of the hottest players in the NBA so far.

Jayson Tatum has been performing at an MVP level, averaging 32.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.3 blocks per game while leading the Celtics to a 10-3 record. Boston has won six consecutive games and it will look to keep that momentum rolling when it hosts the Thunder on Monday.

The Celtics will have to cool off a red-hot Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who looks poised to become an All-Star for the first time in his career to this early point in the season. Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 31.1 points, 5.7 assists, 4.4 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.5 blocks, stuffing the stat sheet on a nightly basis to lead OKC to a 6-7 record.

Celtics guard Jaylen Brown and Thunder guard Josh Giddey have both also been great as of late, as Brown is averaging a career-high 25.3 points per game and Giddey is coming off his first triple-double of the season at Madison Square Garden.
