Chargers schedule 2024: When will Jim Harbaugh play brother John’s Ravens in NFL return?

By | January 24, 2024

Jim Harbaugh is back. Only time will tell if he’s better than ever, though.

The former Michigan coach will be sauntering across the sideline in Chargers blue in 2024, returning to the professional game after 10 years away.

Harbaugh is hoping to lead the Bolts to new heights over the course of his five-year deal. He certainly has his work cut out for him in year one, however.

Los Angeles is a side lacking in cutting edge at the moment. Harbaugh’s arrival, despite all its fanfare, represents the beginning of a long and arduous process. That action looks even more menacing when you consider that the Chargers have to see Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs twice a year.

Still, every journey begins with a single step. Harbaugh’s latest spell in the Sunshine State opens with a bang, with L.A.’s 2024 schedule specked with marquee matchups, including one that could have serious implications at the family dinner table.

Here’s a look at what awaits Harbaugh and the Bolts in 2024:

Chargers schedule 2024

We still don’t know the dates and times of each Chargers game in 2024. We do, however, know who they will face off with.

Following their last-place finish in the AFC West, Los Angeles will face a gauntlet of sides at home, hosting teams that finished 2023 with a record of .500 or better in seven of its eight home games.

The pick of the bunch when it comes to the Bolts’ home matchups is a duel with the Ravens and brother John Harbaugh, setting up the first Harbaugh Bowl (HarBowl?) since Super Bowl 47 back in 2013.

Los Angeles gets an easier test in its nine away games, traveling to face the Patriots, Cardinals and Panthers, among others.

Ultimately, Harbaugh’s and the Bolts’ prospects likely lie in their divisional matchups. Although Kansas City is a cut above, the Raiders and Broncos weren’t infallible in 2023. If 2024 proves the same for either side, perhaps Harbaugh and his Chargers can make some noise.
