Chris Eubank Jr may have missed out on the most lucrative night of his career so far when Conor Benn’s failed drugs test meant the pair did not settle the family feud started by their famous fighting fathers during the 1990s.
According to fight co-promoter Eddie Hearn, the October 2022 bout at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena sold out in minutes. The consolation is that the twist in the tale could make for a much bigger event if the fight is rescheduled.
“Training camps are not cheap but it was more devastating for the other fighters on the card because I’ve made good money in my career,” Eubank Jr told the Guardian in the build-up to his subsequent fight with Liam Smith at Manchester Arena. “If I was to retire tomorrow, I’d still have had a great life.”
How much is Eubank Jr said to be worth and how much has he reputedly raked in? The Sporting News takes a look.
