
Corona Centennial, ranked No. 3 in California and No. 11 in the country, started the 2025 high school football season with a bang.
QB Dominick Catalano threw three touchdown passes, two of which went to TE Keawe Browne, and RB Malaki Davis broke out for three rushing touchdowns as the Huskies cruised past Servite 42-14.

Two of California’s preeminent programs are jumping right in tonight as high school football season kicks off.
Corona Centennial will be the host and heavy favorite as Trinity League power Servite comes to town ready to take a swing at the No. 11 team in the country. Entering the season, The Sporting News has Centennial ranked No. 3 in California and Servite at No. 12.
Both teams bring back a slew of top players on defense and debut new starting QBs after graduating high major talents. In addition to a formidable offensive line plus blocking TE in Luke Sorensen (Nebraska), Servite’s top returners include LBs Isaiah Leilua and Brando Mosqueda and SS Aiava. Centennial features reigning Big West – Upper DPOY Jonathan McKinley (Cal) at DE/OLB, and its top returning offensive playmaker is RB Braylin Drake.

Late fourth quarter – Centennial 42, Servite 14: The Friars add some window dressing on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Kale Murphy to Benjamin Harris.
9:45 – Centennial 42, Servite 7: Catalano has his third touchdown pass of the game and second to Keawe Brown on a 10-yarder to put Centennial back up 35 points.
Centennial leads 35-7 after three quarters.
THIRD QUARTER:
