One of the greatest rivalries in sports is heading to Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C. on Saturday.
No. 9 Duke is set to host No. 7 North Carolina in a battle between two of the best teams in college basketball.
The Blue Devils are seeking revenge after the Tar Heels handled their rivals down Tobacco Road earlier this season. North Carolina came up with a 93-84 win over Duke at the Dean Smith Center, led by Armando Bacot’s 25 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.
The Blue Devils had no answer for the Tar Heels’ depth, as Harrison Ingram proved to be an X-factor with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and four steals. RJ Davis, UNC’s leading scorer, chipped in 17 points. Duke freshman Jared McCain didn’t shy away from the moment with a 23-point outburst, but Kyle Filipowski struggled to hold down the paint against Bacot.
The ACC regular season title could be on the line in this game, adding another layer to an always-competitive matchup between two Blue Bloods.
