Eagles’ Saquon Barkley gets new injury update after leaving game vs. Giants

By | October 29, 2025

Saquon Barkley’s last run against the New York Giants was a powerful burst down the right sideline.

But it was his last run because at the end of the play, he pulled up, clearly having injured something.

The Philadelphia Eagles‘ superstar wasn’t needed to close the game out as Philly was in cruise control. And now the Eagles are on their bye week, so even less to worry about.

Philadelphia fans can breathe even easier after the latest update from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler in a new article Wednesday:

“Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is trending positively coming off a minor groin injury. The feeling right now is that he should be in a good spot after the bye week.”

That’s great news given that Barkley is coming off his best game of the season.

He broke off a 65-yard touchdown run on the Eagles’ second offensive play of the game.

By the time he left, Barkley had 14 carries for 150 yards. He had also caught four passes for 24 yards and a TD through the air from Jalen Hurts.

Barkley hasn’t been having the same kind of year as a season ago, when he ran for 2,005 yards. But Sunday’s outing was a huge step in the right direction.

The fear would be that the injury somehow would set him back, but the bye week came at a perfect time. By the time the Eagles are back to play in Week 10, it looks like Barkley will be ready to continue his season turnaround into the second half of the campaign.
