Eagles vs. Chiefs live score, updates, highlights from NFL ‘Monday Night Football’ game

By | November 20, 2023

The Eagles have been waiting for Monday night since the final seconds of Super Bowl 57 ticked off the clock in February.

A win over the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium wouldn’t exactly make up for a heartbreaking loss in the biggest game of the year, but it might exorcise some demons for the team with the NFL’s best record through 10 weeks.

The Chiefs haven’t lost at home since opening night, and Kansas City’s defense looks decisively better than the one Jalen Hurts and the Eagles faced in Arizona. While the Chiefs’ offense hasn’t found the same success as it has in recent years, the presence of Patrick Mahomes still makes Kansas City as dangerous as ever.

Meanwhile, the Kelce brothers will face off for potentially the final time, with Jason Kelce taking his career year-by-year at this point. Taylor Swift won’t be in attendance, but the Chiefs need a big performance out of Travis Kelce anyway with the rest of Mahomes’ weapons struggling.

While both the Chiefs and Eagles are well positioned to cruise to a playoff berth, a loss would have notable implications for both teams. Kansas City would drop to the No. 2 seed in the AFC with a loss, while Philadelphia would remain the No. 1 seed but only lead the Lions by a tiebreaker with a loss.

The first-round bye proved to be critical for both teams last season, and the path to another will become a bit more difficult for whichever team comes away from Monday night’s game with a loss.
