By | January 18, 2024

Egypt and Ghana face off in a crucial AFCON 2024 tie in Group B with both teams failing to win their opening group stage fixture.

Mohamed Salah’s late penalty rescued a 2-2 draw for Egypt against Mozambique in their first game of the tournament while Ghana lost 2-1 to Cape Verde in one of the biggest shocks of the opening round.

Despite a poor start, both sides are still in a strong position to progress on to the Round of 16, but the result of this clash in Abidjan will have a decisive role in their campaign.

The Sporting News will be following this Egypt versus Ghana AFCON 2024 match live, providing score updates, commentary, and highlights as they happen.
