A December World Cup in 2022 has impacted the international schedule in 2023, with all eight qualifiers fitted into a compacted eight-month campaign, with 21 of the 24 final qualifiers for Euro 2024 confirmed before the end of 2023.
Southgate will be confident of leading England to a fourth major tournament within his tenure, but the pressure is on the former defender to deliver a trophy, for the first time since 1966.

England fixtures 2023
England face eight games in total before the end of 2023, including six Euro 2024 qualifiers, and two friendly matches.
The altered structure of qualifying means England will play two qualification matches during the normal club off-season in June.

England’s Euro 2024 qualification latest
England’s strong start to Euro 2024 qualifying puts Southgate’s side in a great position to secure an automatic qualifying place for the competition.
The top two teams from the 10 qualifying groups (from A-J) will receive an automatic place, alongside hosts Germany, with the three remaining spots decided by UEFA Nations League ranked playoffs in March 2024.
