It’s already been a brutal week for pass-catchers, as A.J. Brown (hamstring), Julio Jones (knee), Sterling Shepard (hamstring), Darius Slayton (hamstring), Chase Claypool (hamstring), and Rob Gronkowski (ribs) have been ruled out. The good news is fantasy football owners know where they stand with those players and have already made alternate start ’em, sit ’em plans. Unfortunately, several key “questionable” receivers, including George Kittle, Tyler Lockett, and Curtis Samuel, will be requiring frequent injury-update checks throughout the day on Sunday.
We’ll be updating the article below until kickoff, so check back for the latest news. Is George Kittle playing Week 4?
Kittle (calf) managed to practice on a limited basis on Friday and is “questionable” for Sunday’s game against Seattle. 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Kittle is “not guaranteed to play” and that the team will have a better idea about his status on Saturday.
If Kittle is active, he’s a must-start. If he’s out, Ross Dwelley will get the bulk of the snaps at TE, but he’s a risky play. Of course, most TEs are risky, but Seattle has been average against TEs in term of fantasy points.
WEEK 4 PPR RANKINGS:

Is Tyler Lockett playing Week 4?
Lockett (hip) missed practice on Thursday but got in a full session on Friday, putting him on track to play against San Francisco.
Don’t hesitate about playing Lockett if he’s active, which it looks like he will be. He’ll always be a boom-or-bust player, but he has too much upside to bench. If he’s a surprise scratch, Freddie Swain and TE Gerald Everett would likely get more targets (assuming Everett comes off the COVID list). Swain is a bit too risky to consider in most leagues, but Everett would bump up to the TE1 bubble.

Is Curtis Samuel playing Week 4?
Samuel (groin) was designated to return from the IR this week, and after he practiced on Thursday and Friday, coach Ron Rivera said Samuel will be active for the first time this year on Sunday.
WEEK 4 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo
It’s always risky to start someone coming off a lengthy layoff due to a groin injury, but considering Washington has a favorable matchup against the Falcons, Samuel is in play as a WR3/flex, at least in PPR leagues.
