Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek are expected to be the top seeds when the 2023 French Open draw takes place ahead of the second grand slam of the calendar year.
Roland-Garros will feature a total of 256 players in the singles tournaments, where reigning champion Swiatek is aiming to win the title for the third time in four years.
There are 104 direct entries to the main draw, as well as eight wild cards and 16 players who come through qualifying days before the real action starts.

When is the French Open draw 2023?
The 2023 French Open draw will take place at 7 p.m. local time on May 25 at The Orangery in Paris. That’s 6 p.m. in the UK, 1 p.m. in USA and 3 a.m. the following day in Australia.

How does the French Open draw work?
The French Open, in common with other grand slam and major tournaments, is heavily based around seedings.
As usual, there will be 32 seeded players who are likely to avoid each other until the later stages of the tournament.

The top two seeds, who could be Alcaraz and two-time champion Novak Djokovic in the men’s draw this time, are placed in opposite sections, which means they will not face each other unless they both reach the final.
French Open 2023 singles draw format
Both singles competitions consist of 128 players facing off across 64 first-round matches, with the main action beginning on May 28.
Assuming they do not have to go through qualifying, a player has to win seven matches to become singles champion.
