A spot in the Alabama Class 7A, Area 6 championship is on the line Wednesday, as Hoover High takes on Oak Mountain in the semifinals.
The Hoover Buccaneers (30-0) have been absolutely dominant this season, securing a staggering 30 wins this season. Twenty-three of those wins have been by a margin of 20 or more points, including Hoover’s last win — a 63-42 victory over Spain Park last Friday.
On the opposite side of the court are the Oak Mountain Eagles, who have also had a rather impressive season. The Eagles needed a bit more luck, which came in the form of a free throw, to earn the 59-58 win over Helena last Thursday.
The winner of this game will take on the winner of Vestavia Hills vs. Hewitt-Trussville in the championship game.
