We’re officially less than a month out from the 2025 NFL Draft, and prospects are participating in their respective pro days in the coming days.
Pro days differ from last month’s NFL Combine, as they are held at players’ respective schools. Oftentimes, players get to work out with their teammates, as well.
One pro day that’s taking place on Friday is at Ole Miss. NFL scouts and executives are expected to be on-hand for quarterback Jaxson Dart’s workout. This year’s quarterback class isn’t as loaded as some we’ve seen in year’s past, so Dart can use strong workouts to move up draft boards.
The Sporting News is tracking Dart’s pro day with live updates, highlights, teams in attendance and more.

11:45 a.m. β Things are about to get rolling here! As for where Dart might end up, The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo reports that the quarterback is scheduled to take a pre-draft visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers:
The Steelers have been searching for years for their long-term franchise quarterback, but rarely have they been in a position to find one in the draft. This year, the top two quarterbacks β Miamiβs Cam Ward and Coloradoβs Shedeur Sanders β will likely be off the board well before the Steelers are on the clock with pick No. 21.
Dart, rated by The Athleticβs draft guru Dane Brugler as the third-best available quarterback, is likely the first passer the Steelers might be able to realistically consider. Projecting when he will be drafted is a challenge. Some talent evaluators think Dart could be selected within the first half of the first round, while others believe heβll still be available in the middle rounds. But what will the Steelers think?
10:44 a.m. β Good morning and happy pro day! Dart’s workout is scheduled to get rolling here in just an hour.

Jaxson Dart draft stock
Jaxson Dart is considered to be behind the top quarterbacks in this year’s draft class, like Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders and Jalen Milroe. TSN’s Vinnie Iyer ranks Dart as the No. 56 overall prospect in this year’ draft class. But his skillset gives him the opportunity to find a home at a number of places, like Seattle, New Orleans or with the New York Jets as a backup.
He could even land somewhere like Pittsburgh, where the starting quarterback for 2025 is currently unknown.
One most recent CBS Sports mock draft has Dart landing with the New York Giants at No. 26 overall via a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, despite the team signing Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson over the last couple weeks.
Jaxson Dart is a 6-foot-2, 225-pound quarterback. He threw for 10,617 yards with 72 touchdowns and 22 interceptions, but has shown off some impressive running ability as well. Over three seasons in Oxford, Dart had over 300 carries for 1,541 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging 4.0 yards per attempt.
B/R’s scouting report on Dart describes the signal-caller as one with “above-average arm strength” in addition to being able to throw the ball with plenty of velocity. He can throw on the run with a quick release as well.
We’ll see if a big pro day workout can help boost his draft stock in the coming weeks.
