The game between the Kings and the Jazz was competitive through three quarters. In the fourth quarter, however, the game — among other things — got out of hand.

The Jazz blew the contest open with a 12-2 run to begin the final period, before the game was delayed for a substantial period after a fan seated courtside vomited not far from the Utah bench.

The visitors vacated their bench area while the cleanup took place. Even the Kings’ mascot needed to get involved.

The event prompted the Golden 1 Center to put up a notice on the big screen that intoxicated fans would be ejected. The fan in this instance was ejected and the game carried on. It was far from competitive, however.

Once the game resumed, the Jazz — who entertained themselves during the prolonged break — continued the onslaught.

They outscored the Kings 39-25 in the fourth quarter and cruised to a 128-107 victory. This was the Kings’ third straight loss and the seventh in their last eight games as the pressure on head coach Luke Walton continues to pile on.

There were even some “Fire Luke Walton” chants toward the end of the game as the Jazz’s lead grew.

After a 3-2 start to the season and an unbeaten preseason, things are bound to get tense in Sacramento given the current poor level of play. The Kings are 3-9 in their last 12 games.
