Josh Allen Peppa Pig commercial: Inside the Paramount+ ad that Bills fans credit for playoff win

By | January 18, 2024

Winning a playoff game because of home field advantage is out, winning a playoff game because your quarterback starred in a commercial next to a cartoon character is in.

After looking like they’d miss out on the playoffs, the Bills rattled off five wins to set a date with the Steelers in the first round. And they became part of quite a memorable wild-card weekend.

While their game against Pittsburgh wasn’t one of the coldest NFL games ever, it was nearly one of the snowiest. The game was pushed from Sunday to Monday due to a blizzard in Buffalo, and the franchise even invited fans to shovel snow off the field and stadium steps.

The playoffs ended in a 31-17 win for Buffalo. Some believe it was a Highmark Stadium advantage, while others embrace the “feed the pit” conspiracy.

What fans have agreed on is that the legendary Peppa Pig helped her friend Josh Allen to a victory.

Allen is TV ready. The quarterback starred in a Paramount+ commercial that debuted during the Bills-Steelers playoff game.

Alongside him were the CBS team of Tony Romo, Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson for additional commentary in the battle of a better arm between Allen and Scourge the Transformer. Peppa Pig stood beside, and hid behind, Allen while Dora the Explorer looked on.

The ad was a peek into Paramount’s “A Mountain of Entertainment” campaign series that launches during the Super Bowl.

And so far? It’s the talk of the town. Fans loved the Peppa Pig-Josh Allen crossover. It’s safe to say the Bills Mafia will look for the commercial when Buffalo hosts the Chiefs in the division round of the playoffs.
