The one thing Minnesota Vikings fans have been begging for over the last 15 months is for the franchise to extend wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Both sides nearly came to an agreement on one back in September but they couldn’t quite get across the finish line.
There have been a lot of different ways that the media has approached it, including talking endlessly about how the Vikings should trade him. That hasn’t happened yet and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has said that thought hasn’t crossed his mind back at the NFL Scouting Combine.
After appearing at the Minnesota Timberwolves playoff game, Jefferson posted on his Instagram page dropping a hint that his extension might be done.
The phrase fortune-tell is brilliant by Jefferson, especially since he hasn’t shown up to voluntary OTA workouts. He did miss them last year because he was doing paid appearances, so it’s rooted in reality as well.
Now, that doesn’t mean that it is for sure done. When you see this kind of blatant hint at it, you can only hope that it’s the case.
