Liverpool vs Chelsea live score, updates, highlights & lineups from Premier League match

By | January 31, 2024

Liverpool currently sit top of the Premier League table and welcome familiar rivals Chelsea to Anfield for what should be a high-octane midweek clash.

Following Jurgen Klopp’s shock announcement that he will be departing the club this summer, Liverpool secured a convincing victory over Norwich City at the weekend, firing them into the FA Cup fifth round.

As well as having league ramifications, their meeting with Chelsea also serves as an early taster for when the two sides go head-to-head in the EFL Cup final on February 25.

Wednesday’s encounter could be a huge test of Liverpool’s claim to the Premier League title, as both Manchester City and Arsenal are in hot pursuit of Klopp’s men.

Liverpool have maintained an impressive record at home, having not suffered a Premier League defeat at Anfield in the past 15 months. On the flip side, Chelsea have just one victory in their last five away league matches.
