Madden Campus Legends: Rosters, rules & more to know in CFB game mode

By | September 1, 2021

NCAA Football is back … sort of.

The last time sports fans had a college football video game was NCAA Football 14. Now, video game fans can get a bit of their fix in Madden 22. The NFL simulation game has introduced a new mode called Campus Legends as part of their Superstar KO mode. Although this game mode really doesn’t match the play style of regular Superstar KO.

Instead, Campus Legends is just you playing as one of 10 college football teams. The teams feature legends from each of the schools. So for example USC has Reggie Bush at running back, Florida has Tim Tebow at quarterback and Miami has Michael Irvin at wide receiver.

The colleges available to choose from are the same schools featured in Face of the Franchise. EA Sports has the rights to those teams as of now, so that makes sense. EA Sports has has the player likness rights from certain players on these teams, most likely due to their agreement for Madden Ultimate Team where they often feature players who played in the past.

Madden 22 Campus Legends rules

  • Full 4 minute quarters
  • One full game
  • College rules
  • NFL overtime rules

Campus Legends is pretty simple in that it’s a full four quarter game with college football rules. For example, the wider field, down when you catch the ball vs. when you’re touched, etc. The only difference is overtime will go to NFL rules, which makes sense because creating an entirely different overtime for a game mode that will only exist for a month seems unrealistic.

Once you’ve picked a team, you then pick an offensive playbook and a defensive playbook. You’re then matched up with another player online and you’re all set.

Madden 22 Campus Legends rosters

The rosters are somewhat thin, but you get players at every position. The majority of the starters will be 90 overall with a few standout players being 95 overall. You can not adjust these players in the depth chart, but you can sub the players out from the playbook menu.

Below, we’ll go team by team and give you the starting lineups for each roster.
