The NASCAR Cup Series stays out west this weekend for the Pennzoil 400. Spectators are hoping for an event more like the one that took place at Daytona β a race defined by its chaos β and less like the one that occurred last weekend at Fontana β a dour affair that ended in an easy Kyle Busch victory.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a place that the likes of Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Martin Truex Jr. know well. Those three drivers have combined to capture seven checkered flags at the Diamond in the Desert over the past decade.

Yet the track can also prove unpredictable. Just ask Hendrick Motorsports’ Alex Bowman, who outlasted Cup Series ace Kyle Larson to nab his seventh career win last year.
All of this is to say, things tend to get interesting on the Las Vegas strip, and that should only continue on the track in 2023.
