The future is now, basketball fans. While the veterans will have their own time to shine, the NBA Rising Stars Challenge is dedicated to the young players who are blossoming before our eyes.
The NBA Rising Stars Challenge features 10 rookies, 11 sophomores and seven G League players. Those players have already been separated into four teams ahead of a three-game tournament, and the winning squad will advance to the All-Star mini-tournament on Sunday.
Some of the most notable players in this year’s contest are Stephon Castle (Spurs), Amen (Rockets) and Ausar Thompson (Pistons), Zach Edey (Grizzlies) and Jaime Jaquez Jr. (Heat).
