The Dallas Cowboys are fortunate to have one of the best overall receivers in football in CeeDee Lamb.
He’s a true superstar and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Lamb racked up just under 1,200 receiving yards in 2024 — which would be many receivers’ best season — and yet it was somewhat of a down year. This was because he had 135 catches and 1,749 receiving yards in 2023.
The Cowboys are going to have Dak Prescott back in 2025 so don’t be shocked if Lamb’s numbers take a big jump again. Another thing that could help with this would be to adding a running mate opposite him to help take a little pressure off him and spread the defense more.
The NFL Draft will begin on Thursday and NFL.com’s NFL Draft expert Daniel Jeremiah thinks the team is going to do just that with the No. 12 pick by selecting Arizona receiver Tetairoa McMillan.
“No. 12 pick: Dallas Cowboys – Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona, WR, Junior,” Jeremiah said. “I could see the Cowboys trying to trade out of this pick, but if they stay at No. 12, they could be choosing between the top remaining wide receivers, North Carolina RB Omarion Hampton and Alabama OG Tyler Booker. In this case, they go with a big target to complement CeeDee Lamb.”

McMillan is widely considered to be the top receiver in this draft class. He racked up 1,319 receiving yards in 2024 off 84 catches for Arizona to go along with eight touchdowns. This got him an All-American nod but wasn’t even as good as his 2023 season. In 2023, he racked up 1,402 receiving yards on 90 catches to go along with 10 touchdowns.
Adding a player like this to the Cowboys’ offense is exactly what they need right now.
