November is almost here, and with it comes colder temperatures, more rain, and windier conditions. All things considered, the Week 8 NFL weather forecast isn’t too bad, but all three of the aforementioned elements are going to affect this week’s games. RotoGrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth is here to help us break down all the key weather updates before fantasy football owners lock in their Week 8 start ’em, sit ’em decisions.
Before we get into the Week 8 forecasts, here’s a reminder that if you have any questions about sports weather or how weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don’t hesitate to reach out to RotoGrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. Note: If a game isn’t mentioned below, it’s because it doesn’t even have 10-mph winds or a 20-percent chance of precipitation in the forecast.
WEEK 8 STANDARD RANKINGS:

NFL weather forecast and updates Week 8
Forecasts courtesy of Kevin Roth at RotoGrinders
Patriots @ Dolphins. There’s a 20-30-percent chance of rain and winds in the 15-25-mph range expected for this game. This isn’t going to help the offenses, but all of the usual starters in Miami’s passing game should remain in your lineups. Kendrick Bourne and the kickers don’t need to be forced into lineups, but the weather shouldn’t affect your start ’em, sit ’em decisions too much.
WEEK 8 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers
Vikings @ Packers. Temperatures might dip into the 30s with a 50-percent chance of rain and winds in the 10-15-mph range. That’s going to be miserable for fans, but it shouldn’t affect the performances of players too much. Again, you don’t want to force any borderline players into your lineups (kickers, secondary receiving options like K.J. Osborn and Jayden Reed), but any usual starters (Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, etc.) should remain that way.
Jets @ Giants. There’s around a 35-percent chance of rain for this game, but winds shouldn’t get above 10 mph. Unless the forecast gets worse closer to kickoff, you don’t need to worry too much about this game.
WEEK 8 FANTASY ADVICE:
Sleepers | Busts | Projections | Start ’em, sit ’em
Jaguars @ Steelers. This game has the highest likelihood of rain (65 percent), but winds will be mild. We’ll know closer to kickoff if heavy rain is expected at any point, so until then, plan on using your normal starters (Trevor Lawrence, Christian Kirk, Evan Engram, George Pickens) as usual.
WEEK 8 DFS: DK lineup | FD lineup | Best values | Best stacks
All of this is subject to change as we get closer to kickoff. You can follow meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) and check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. For the best weather-related fantasy advice, take a look at WeatherEdge.
