NFL Week 13 Weather Updates: Snow, rain, wind in forecast could affect fantasy start ’em, sit ’em decisions

By | December 4, 2021

Last week’s weather offered a nice reprieve from the harsh elements that can plague fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em decisions this time of year, but there’s no such luck with the Week 13 NFL weather forecast. There’s wind, rain, and/or snow expected for various games around the league, including the big Patriots-Bills showdown on Monday Night Football. Fortunately, RotoGrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth is here to help us break down the weather updates you need to know.

Before we get into the Week 13 forecasts, here’s a reminder that if you have any questions about sports weather or how weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don’t hesitate to reach out to RotoGrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. WEEK 13 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start ’em, sit ’em

NFL Week 13 weather updates

Forecasts courtesy for Kevin Roth at RotoGrinders

Chargers @ Bengals. There’s a good chance you see images of snow in Cincinnati on the Sunday pregame shows, but once the game kicks off, you’re more likely to see a cold rain falling, if anything. The conditions won’t be perfect, but they shouldn’t be too bad — assuming a team from L.A. can handle them. For now, we’re not advising sitting any key players.

WEEK 13 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo

Cardinals @ Bears.  With over a 50-percent chance of rain and winds around 15 mph, the conditions for Kyler Murray’s and DeAndre Hopkins’ first game in a month are suboptimal. That said, they’re still startable, but Darnell Mooney’s outlook dims a bit with the forecast.

WEEK 13 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Ravens @ Steelers. It looks like the heavier rain will fall after the game, but given the struggling nature of both passing offenses, fantasy owners might want to steer clear of any borderline players. Lamar Jackson, Diontae Johnson, Marquise Brown, and Mark Andrews remain must-starts, but we’ll watch this forecast to make sure it doesn’t get any worse.

RotoGrinders-Weather-Edge

49ers @ Seahawks. There’s a chance there will be some light rain showers in this one, but unless the forecast changes and the precipitation looks to be heavier/steadier, you shouldn’t worry too much about the weather affecting your players.

WEEK 13 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Patriots @ Bills. It’s gonna be cold…it might snow…and it’s gonna be windy. Welcome to Monday Night Football in Buffalo in December. With winds around 20 mph and some potential snow, it’s reasonable to assume both passing offenses will be slowed down. Given the elite defenses involved, that might mean anyone not named Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and maybe Dawson Knox is off limits. That includes both kickers. We’ll update with the latest forecast closer to Sunday’s games.
