The Ohio Valley Conference men’s basketball tournament will begin Wednesday when Tennessee State takes on Southern Indiana and Southern Illinois Edwardsville takes on Eastern Illinois.
Little Rock and UT Martin, the top two seeds, get a double-bye in this conference, as they will take on the winners of the third and fourth seeds, who also receive a bye.
The Little Rock Trojans earned the top seed by way of a 14-4 conference record, which tied with Morehead State and UT Martin. However, they won the tiebreaker, giving them an easier road.
KK Robinson leads the Trojans offense, posting 15.8 points and 4.3 assists per game. He’s shooting 41.6 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc.
Last season, South Eastern Missouri State won the tournament, giving them an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament. This season, they rank 10th in the 11-team conference.
