Patriots sign long snapper after a successful workout

By | August 5, 2024

After a day off on Sunday, the New England Patriots took the field for training camp on Monday, but there was unknown player on the field wearing No. 46.

The identity of that player has since been identified, as New England has signed long snapper Tucker Addington to their roster.

Addington, 27, went undrafted in 2020 out of Sam Houston State. He’s had stints with one USFL team and four NFL teams before, including one with the Patriots in 2022.

He appeared in three games for New England and three games for Washington in his career.

Patriots long snapper Joe Cardona wasn’t seen on the field on Monday, so he may be dealing with an injury.
