Premier League teams relegated 2022/23: Which clubs went down to Championship?

By | May 28, 2023

The final day of the 2022/23 Premier League season started with three teams hoping to avoid the final two relegation places.

The group is separated by just two points. Everton hold the advantage ahead of their visit from Bournemouth, standing on 33 points. Leicester, who were at home to West Ham, join Leeds — hosts to Tottenham — on 31 points.

By virtue of their lead, Everton have destiny in their hands. If they win they’re safe. If they draw or lose, that could see them relegated to the Championship for the first time since 1951, depending on the other results.

Leeds and Leicester supporters will be intently watching the score from the Everton vs. Bournemouth match, hoping a favourable result opens the door for their team to claw their way to survival, with Leicester sporting a better goal differential than the others in case they finish level on points.

Sporting News is following the final day of the 2022/23 Premier League live and providing score updates, commentary, and highlights as they happen.
