The final game of the 2022-23 CHL season is Sunday night: the Quebec Remparts and the Seattle Thunderbirds are set to meet in the 2023 Memorial Cup final.
The Remparts secured their spot in the championship game by finishing as the top team in the round-robin portion of the tournament and receiving a bye to the final. Quebec, which won the QMJHL championship, beat Seattle and the Kamloops Blazers while losing to the Peterborough Petes.

Seattle also went 2-1 in the round-robin, earning a spot in the semis by defeating Peterborough and Kamloops. The WHL champion eliminated the Petes in the semifinals to set up a date with the Remparts in the final.
This is the first time Seattle is playing in the final of the Memorial Cup. Quebec is aiming for the club’s third title and its first since 2006.

6:30 p.m.: Here’s how the two sides are expected to line up for the 2023 Memorial Cup final. Seattle is rolling out five NHL first-round picks: Dylan Guenther (Coyotes), Brad Lambert (Jets), Kevin Korchinski (Blackhawks), Nolan Allen (Blackhawks) and Reid Schaefer (Predators). Quebec has two in Zachary Bolduc (Blues) and Nathan Gaucher (Ducks).

5:30 p.m.: Quebec enters the championship game well rested. The Remparts last played on May 30, giving them four days of rest. Seattle comes in with just a day off between contests but also momentum from its semifinal win on Friday.
