Prior to the Boston Red Sox’s Tuesday night game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Fenway Park, Red Sox manager Alex Cora spoke to the media and provided some updates on injured players.

According to Cora (via. Jen McCaffrey), outfielder Tyler O’Neill, who left Friday’s battle with the Chicago White Sox due to a knee injury, is expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday.

O’Neill told Audacy’s Rob Bradford that his knee feels “night and day” from when he hurt it on Friday.

Boston also may be getting rookie outfielder Wilyer Abreu back from the injured list sooner than later after spraining his ankle falling in the dugout. He may need a rehab game in the minors before returning.

Cora also said that reliever Chris Martin, who was placed on the injured list last week due to anxiety, threw a bullpen session on Tuesday and is feeling better. There’s no timetable for his return.

First baseman Triston Casas, who has been on the injured list for nearly two months due to torn cartilage in his ribs, still has some time to go before he can be activated. While he’s targeting late June/early July for his return, he’s yet to swing the bat, according to Cora.
