Barcelona have suffered a major injury blow at a crucial point in the 2024/25 season.
Hansi Flick’s side are right in the middle of a potential trophy treble charge as they lead La Liga by seven points and face El Clasico rivals Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final on April 26.
The Catalans survived a midweek scare away at Borussia Dortmund before eventually booking their spot in the UEFA Champions League finals.
The pressure of more games being added to the schedulee has been called out by Flick as his side returned to league action with a superb 4-3 Raphinha-inspired 4-3 win over Celta Vigo.
However, the post-match debate was dominated by an injury to star striker Robert Lewandowski, ahead of some vital games.
Lewandowski remains out in front in the La Liga Golden Boot race, with 25 league goals scored so far in 2024/25, but he now faces a spell on the sidelines.

Robert Lewandowski injury: Games missed, return date
Flick confirmed Lewandowski would undergo tests on a hamstring issue after being forced off on 78 minutes against Celta Vigo.
The club have since offered an official update on the Poland international after being diagnosed with a “left semitendinosus [hamstring] injury” which will now be treated with no official return date indicated.
However, reports from Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo indicate the 36-year-old will miss a minimum of three weeks of action, including some vital clashes.

That puts him on track to miss around five games across all competitions including the Copa del Rey final and both UCL semifinals against Inter Milan.
Robert Lewandowski’s predicted games missed
- Mallorca (H) – La Liga: April 22
- Real Madrid (N) – Copa del Rey: April 26
- Inter Milan (H) – Champions League: April 30
- Real Valladolid (A) – La Liga: May 3
- Inter Milan (A) – Champions League: May 6
Lewandowski could be back for Barcelona’s huge La Liga title clash with Real Madrid on May 11 but that would require a perfect recovery from the former Bayern Munich hitman.
Ferran Torres is in line to replace him in the upcoming games with the Spain international netting 17 goals in all competitions this season despite his limited role.
