Tiger Woods live score: Updated Masters leaderboard, results, highlights from Thursday’s Round 1

By | April 6, 2023

Tiger Woods this week will return to the place where he has achieved his greatest success among golf’s four majors.

FOLLOW LIVE: Updates, highlights from Round 1 of the Masters

His appearance at the Masters will be a welcome sight for both his contemporaries and golf fans over the world: Following his February 2021 car crash, the legendary golfer is now extremely selective about the events in which he will compete. But Augusta National, where Tiger has won five of his 15 majors, rises to the level of an automatic appearance.

This will be Tiger’s second appearance at Augusta since recovering from the car crash. He made the cut last year and finished 47th after struggling through the final two rounds.

Can he offer a repeat performance — or better — this year? That certainly will be one of the major storylines this week at the Masters, especially if he finds himself in contention for another major title on Saturday and Sunday: When Tiger plays well, the whole world takes note.
