Tottenham are set for major changes in the coming weeks amid swirling uncertainty over the future of head coach Ange Postecoglou.
The Australian boss backed up his promise to win a trophy in his second season in charge in North London as Spurs sealed an incredible UEFA Europa League title in May.
Victory over rivals Manchester United in Bilbao ended the club’s 17-year wait for a trophy and secured a back door qualification spot for the 2025/26 Champions League.
However, Postecoglou also ended up in 17th place in the final Premier League rankings, in their lowest-ever position in the EPL.
The contrast between his performance in the two competitions is stark and Spurs chief Daniel Levy is still considering sacking the former Celtic boss before preseason.
If Postecoglou does move on, he could be followed out of the club by captain Son Heung-min, if Levy looks to cash in on the South Korean star.

If Son leaving Tottenham?
Son has gained cult status at Spurs, with the 32-year-old netting 173 goals in 454 games since joining from Bayer Leverkusen a decade ago, and he lifted the trophy at the Estadio San Mames.
The veteran forward replaced Harry Kane as captain last summer and claimed only after winning the Europa League can he now be called a ‘club legend’.
He signed a contract extension in January, as the club looked to protect his transfer value, and avoid a free agent exit in June – but the refreshed deal expires in 12 months time.

The call to extend was based on Levy’s pragmatism and reports from the Daily Telegraph claim he could now be sold to a Saudi Pro League club, to raise around ÂŁ20m [$27m].
If Spurs are able to secure a big pay-off to sell Son, that will be used to fund a move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, with the England international available for a ÂŁ69m [$93m] release clause at Selhurst Park.
Eze is a long-term target for Spurs, but Levy is determined to ensure any summer moves are at least part funded by squad sales, regardless of Postecoglou’s future.
