Miami was without its starting quarterback for a bit.
In the second quarter of Sunday’s Dolphins-Bills matchup, Tua Tagovailoa took a late shove from Bills linebacker Matt Milano, and on the follow through, hit his head hard off the turf.
Tagovailoa would struggle to get to his feet, and after a few seconds, would stumble to the turf.

The Dolphins would, unsurprisingly, announce Tagovailoa’s injury as a head injury.
#Tua will be ruled out for @MiamiDolphins vs @BuffaloBills.

But what is surprising is that, despite the scary scene in Miami, Tagovailoa would later reenter the game after passing concussion protocol.
Briefly taking over for Tagovailoa was journeyman backup Teddy Bridgewater, who is in his second year with the Dolphins as backup.

This is what happened to Tua Tagovailoa after his head hit the turf hard. Not sure how you let him back in.

The Dolphins would officially list the passer as questionable to return following the injury, and he would later return to the game after a visit to the locker room.
