UConn is a Final Four staple with four appearances in the last five seasons, while UCLA is a newcomer to women’s college basketball’s biggest stage. The Huskies have the likely No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 WNBA Draft in Paige Bueckers, and the Bruins bring the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year with Lauren Betts. UConn coach Geno Auriemma is vying for his 12th national championship, while UCLA coach Cori Close is going for her first.
