The United States has dominated the Summer Olympics unlike any country in history.
The 2024 Paris Olympics projects to have a similar outcome with top names such as Katie Ledecky, Simone Biles, Noah Lyles, and Sha’Carri Richardson representing their respective sports.

According to Wikipedia, the U.S. entered the Paris Olympics as the all-time leading medal holder in Olympic history with 2,959 total medals, including 2,629 in the Summer Games. Of the 2,959 total medals, 1,061 were gold, which is nearly triple the amount of the second-place’s gold medal total (Soviet Union). However, according to the Olympic Foundation of Culture and Heritage, the U.S. entered the Paris Olympics with 2,975 total medals and quickly became the first country to cross the 3,000-medal threshold.
There’s no indication that the United States will slow down as it continues its Olympic dominance.
