Warriors vs. Mavericks live score, updates, highlights from Game 3 of Western Conference Finals

The Warriors have gotten out to a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals, but things could get interesting as the series shifts to Dallas for Game 3.

Dallas, which was outscored 68-45 in the second half of a nine-point loss in Game 2, will look to do more of what it used to build a double-digit lead in the first two quarters and less of what it did to lose its lead in the final two quarters.

The Mavericks return home to the American Airlines Center, where they are 5-1 this postseason. The Warriors, on the other hand, are 2-3 away from home this postseason.

While Dallas looks to avoid the historically insurmountable 3-0 series deficit, Golden State will look to move one step closer to the NBA Finals.

Half-time: Warriors 48, Mavericks 47

The Warriors go into the break with a one-point lead. Curry leads all scorers with 16 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Wiggins has 13. 

Luka Doncic leads the Mavs with 15 points and seven rebounds. Jalen Brunson has 12 and Spencer Dinwiddie 11.

10:02 p.m. — Steph goes down after colliding with a courtside beer vendor. He’s alright folks.

10:00 p.m. — Hot potato for the Warriors as they keep the ball flying around the court. Curry drains his third triple of the night to cap off a 10-0 run and give them back the lead 43-42 with 2:01 remaining. 

9:54 p.m. — Otto Porter is currently receiving X-rays on his injured foot, per TNT’s Allie LaForce.

9:52 p.m. — The Warriors have cooled off in Q2 as the Mavs make it a 14-4 run.

9:50 p.m. — Technical foul called on Draymond Green after a questionable over-and-back call. Mavericks lead 38-31 with 5:47 to go in the quarter.

9:48 p.m. — Great effort from Andrew Wiggins on the offensive glass, creating second-chance opportunities. The Warriors already have seven offensive rebounds to the Mavericks’ two.

9:47 p.m. — Golden State is struggling to create much offense with this bench-heavy lineup without Green and Curry in the game. Thompson’s mid-range misses and he’s now 1-for-7 to start Game 3.

9:40 p.m. — Otto Porter attacks the rim for the layup, but soon after was grabbing his left foot in pain and quickly exited the game to go back to the locker room. Timeout Warriors. Juan Toscano-Anderson checks in.

9:38 p.m. — Here come the Mavs. Four quick points from Jalen Brunson gives them their first lead of the game at 30-29 with 9:38 remaining. 

End of first quarter: Warriors 25, Mavericks 22

9:30 p.m. — LUKA GOES BANG!

With time expiring, Doncic drains the deep triple to cut the lead to just three points at the end of the first.

He leads the Mavs with 10 points and six rebounds, while Steph Curry leads the Warriors with eight points. 

9:28 p.m. — Much better from Luka Doncic who is forcing the Warriors to collapse in the paint on his dribble penetration. The patience and ball movement from Dallas has improved as the quarter has gone on. 

9:25 pm. — Golden State is having some early success with the Curry x Green high screen and roll action, with the Mavs getting stuck on the switches. 

9:18 p.m. — The Warriors are making the Mavs pay for their poor shooting, racing out to a double-digit lead, thanks to a 10-0 run. 

9:12 p.m. — The Mavericks haven’t had much luck from beyond the arc, going 0-of-6 to start the game. Warriors lead 14-7 with 7:05 remaining in the quarter.
